Six Sentence Stories #8

Winter had consumed the world in a monstrous embrace, leaving the oceans frozen and the world cold. Earth had become a frozen wasteland in the blink of an eye. Only the most dangerous of humanity seemed to survive. Food and liquid water had become scarce. Even animals seemed rare in this frozen wasteland. Cities had become living tombs. Forests had become nothing more than deathtraps, where trees impaled daring travelers upon frozen branches.

  1. Difficult to tell a story in six sentences. This one is a strong description of the effects of climate change to cold, perhaps a new ice age. I wondered: who/what is the character? What kind of action can happen here? What is the conflict? Lots to work with here! Enjoyed reading. Cinda
